Reaching the World Through the Power of Inspiration

My stories run up and bite me in the leg -- I respond by writing down everything that goes on during the bite. When I finish, the idea lets go and runs off. And what, you ask, does writing teach us? First and foremost, it reminds us that we are alive and that it is a gift and a privilege, not a right. We must earn life once it has been awarded us. Life asks for rewards back because it has favored us with animation.
                                                                                                      - Ray Bradbury

Writing is a form of therapy; sometimes I wonder how all those who do not write, compose or paint can manage to escape the madness, melancholy, the panic, and fear which is inherent in a human situation.

                                                                           - Graham Greene

Words are, of course the most powerful drug used by mankind.

"So, in a time when adults experience sleep deprivation, road rage, heart disease, various cancers, workplace anger and more as a result of ongoing stress, there may not be much sympathy for those young people who have yet to enter the "real world." However, just because we haven't learned how to handle stress properly, why shouldn't we start helping our teens do so? Perhaps in recognizing the phrase "stressed-out" as a cry for help rather than an irritating complaint, we can help our youth learn to cope before adulthood (and perhaps teach ourselves a thing or two in the process)".

1/3 of U.S. teens report major stress every day
